Contemplating a Production Cut

Originally published on Feb 25th in the UAE's National, this article argues that the Gulf States should contemplate a production cut in the March 15 - April 15 window.

Of course, Saudi increased production instead, as it chose to maximize volumes and depress prices.  This may have been optimal for political purposes, but the data clearly now show that the Saudis should have cut production to maximize revenues while retaining the opportunity to reverse production cuts without harming revenues later.
