An outstanding team from Mexico presented on Mexican energy market reforms at Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy on November 17th.
The Mexican government has made huge efforts to restructure the oil industry along global 'best practices' standards, and those with an understanding of US regulations and regulatory agencies will find the Mexican approach familiar and comforting.
Mexico has an ambitious program, from now through the middle of next year, to sign various sorts of agreements for production with Mexican and international oil companies.
The linked presentation is long, but worthwhile for those with a direct interest in the topic. The slides are definitely worth flipping through.
